Cracks in Time｜The Space and Legacy of Deutsch-ritterkapelle
2025年6月14日至7月13日，六位中国女性艺术家的展览《时光的裂隙：十年变迁与她的眼睛》，将在瑞士巴塞尔的历史建筑 Deutschritterkapelle（条顿骑士团教堂）举行。这里是 AAP Gallery 瑞士空间的所在地，一间专注于当代艺术与跨文化对话的独立艺术机构。
From June 14 to July 13, 2025, Cracks in Time: Ten Years of Change Through Her Eyes will take place at the Deutschritterkapelle, a historic site in Basel, Switzerland. This venue also serves as the home of AAP Gallery in Switzerland—an independent institution dedicated to contemporary art and cross-cultural exchange.
一座教堂的历史，一段精神的回响
A Chapel’s Legacy, A Spiritual Resonance
Deutschritterkapelle 建于13世纪中叶，由条顿骑士团设立。骑士团最早起源于十字军东征，后转型为遍布欧洲的修道秩序。1270年左右，其巴塞尔分支在 Münsterhügel 设立修道院，与阿尔班修道院发生管辖争议，最终在1287年获准建造教堂。
Built in the mid-13th century, Deutschritterkapelle was founded by the Teutonic Order, which originated during the Crusades and later became a widespread religious order in Europe. Around 1270, the Basel branch was established near Münsterhügel, and a dispute with St. Alban’s Monastery led to an official ruling in 1287 that allowed the Knights to build their own chapel.
在1356年火灾与1417年地震之后，该地于1431年重建。19世纪由巴塞尔著名建筑师 Melchior Berri 改建，1987年则由建筑师 Klaus Schuldt 转型为文化与办公用途。现今，这座教堂作为 AAP Gallery 巴塞尔空间，延续其精神与文化使命。
Though damaged by fire (1356) and earthquake (1417), the chapel was rebuilt in 1431. In 1844, it was renovated by renowned Basel architect Melchior Berri, and later adapted for cultural and office use by Klaus Schuldt in 1987. Today, as AAP Gallery Basel, it carries forward its legacy as a site of reflection and artistic inquiry.

Cracks Within the Space: A Response in Art
在这段沉淀了近八百年的建筑历史中，六位中国艺术家用作品回应社会转型与个体记忆的裂痕，构建跨越时空与文化的观看方式，也赋予这座教堂新的当代表达。
Amidst these walls layered with nearly 800 years of history, six Chinese women artists respond to social ruptures and personal memory, offering new ways of seeing across time and culture. Their presence breathes contemporary life into this age-old space.
在这样一个纷争四起、误解加深的时代，古老的哲学与精神世界与当代文化在此交汇。东方的智慧与西方的学识交织，跨越代际的生命经验与自然的无限能量，在这十年时光的裂隙中寻找与探索，在微小的缝隙中透出微光。
In a time marked by division and misunderstanding, this space becomes a meeting ground between ancient philosophies and contemporary cultural expressions. Eastern wisdom interlaces with Western knowledge, while intergenerational life experiences and the vastness of nature converge. Through the fractures of these ten years, we find light seeping through the smallest of openings.
微尘共振，不同年代的灵魂与自然对话，每一个人、每一份生命之美都在此间悄然回响。
This is a resonance of dust—where souls from different times commune with nature, and the quiet beauty of every life is gently echoed within these walls.
